Not my usual read but thoroughly enjoyable -

A sort of Glaswegian Sweeney; fast paced and addictive. This isn't my usual read but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Nicely written with strong sense of atmosphere and nostalgia. Not for the faint-hearted but well worth a read. Enjoy it!

Glasgow Kiss -

The only time I've seen anyone head butt a cash dispenser was in Glasgow, it's a tough city. Alan Park's Glasgow is even tougher and darker. The dialogue is sharp and witty and the action is violent and bloody. Morals and ethics are in short supply on both sides of the law.

This is a debut novel from Alan Parks and a first outing for the hard-boiled Harry McCoy - on the basis of this book I hope it isn't the last.
