Nine-year-old Secret Agent Jack Stalwart defeats pirates, rescues fine art and tracks down the crown jewels as he travels around the world in Elizabeth Singer Hunt's action-packed books.
This collection of 14 books offers much more than the usual heroic adventures you'd expect as each book is set in a different country that is highlighted on a world map. The stories are also complemented by fantastic educational material that will engage young readers who are interested in new and exciting countries.
This series will appeal to children aged 7 and over and is highly rated by parents.
Another brilliant collection of 100 or so paged 10-chapter books, for 7-year-olds. My son thoroughly enjoyed making his way through the set.

Finally found books my son wants to get to the end of! -
I have quite a typical boy who would rather be out on his bike than reading and we've struggled to find books he wants to pick up himself rather than us nagging him to do his five days of reading for school. However, these have changed that!!!! Great concept and fun to read, perfect for my Year 3 child and such good value for so many books in the set. We got these for him for Christmas and our son listed these as one of his favourite presents, yes, books!!! (and he was spoilt rotten with toys - we couldn't believe he said it) so do I recommend them? Hell yes!

A great read for any child! -
My 7-year-old loves to read but these books are in a different league...he literally can't put them down! They are so engaging and the language used and descriptions are perfect for the competent reader that is gaining in fluency. They have educational aspects but are just so much fun. I ended up ordering a second set to donate to my son's school as I think these books should be read by as many children as possible! I would absolutely recommend these books to everyone and at these prices you definitely can't go wrong!

Gripping read for an 8-year-old (apparently) -
My 8-year-old has always been a reluctant reader. It has only been on very rare occasions that we could get him to read without an argument. Since discovering these books though, he's been reading without any fuss, concentrating properly (reading four times as much as usual in the same amount of time) and the only argument has been about putting the book down because it's bedtime. I haven't actually read any of the books to check the content (I've skimmed them and they look harmless) but if it's encouraging him to read then I'm not really too bothered.
