Disappointed -

Our 4-year-old grandson is currently intrigued by bugs, insects and creepy crawlies in the garden and we thought this would be ideal. Although the book is beautifully produced and illustrated, it is simply a very small selection of animals found across the world, so alongside slugs and snails are tarantulas and similar exotics not normally found in south London. No good for identification and not really relevant. A great shame.

Beautifully presented -

This was bought as part of a Christmas present so we do not yet have our granddaughter's opinion. However, it is beautifully presented and we believe it will keep her entertained for hours on end. Buying unsighted sometimes makes for a disappointment but not here. It oozes care of preparation and is colourful, robust and properly researched. We bought two of the series of three and will probably get the other too. Well done Book People.
