Surprised -

I would describe myself as somewhat interested in Sci-Fi and less than somewhat interested in Fantasy. Having now read 4-5 of these books I am totally won over - they are individually brilliant especially Hyperion and The Lies of Locke Lamora - so far anyway and an absolute bargain for the price. Give it a go and I hope you enjoy them as much I have.

Must have for sci-fi/fans -

An excellent collection of the arguably most influential 20th century fantasy novels. Amongst others, this amazing set includes critically acclaimed Richard Matheson's I Am Legend, Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and Terry Pratchet's Eric. It's an utter geekfest, which will cater for seasoned sci-fi/fantasy fans as well as those who only begin their adventure with the genre.

Outstanding collection -

I bought this collection as I felt I should read more sci-fi/fantasy. If it's all like this then I'll read nothing else from now on. The Name of the Wind I found unputdownable, even though it is quite a hefty book. Flowers for Algernon is a wonderful concept, beautifully written and completely heartbreaking. I think every house should have this collection of books.

A steal -

This set is worth the money just for Flowers for Algernon alone, which is one of the finest novels of the 20th century in ANY genre. Beautifully written, compelling, heartbreaking and yet heartwarming, I envy anyone who is fortunate enough to be reading it for the first time. The fact that this collection also includes I Am Legend and Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep, the inspiration for the film Blade Runner, is a bonus.

Superb -

This is a new genre for me and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every book so far. They have not been an easy read but challenging and extremely enjoyable. Thank you Book People. Please can we have some more?
