Great whether veggie (or not) -

Have made loads of dishes from this book. Pinto Bean Chilli is worth a mention as its also vegan and great to freeze or cook two or three times the recipe for a crowd. The swede and potato pasties are also great; yes they take time to do, especially if you make rough puff pastry as well, but they taste amazing!

Another reviewer mentioned the magic bread dough which is great for flatbreads, pizzas and breadsticks. The kale and onion pizza sounds bizarre but is also really great. I think I have made at least 30 of the recipes from this book, it was such a great investment.

A decent amount is vegan or could easily be veganised with the usual substitutions or just leaving out certain items.

"Fab cookbook!" -

Imaginative, tasty veggie recipes without being complicated. No long lists of obscure ingredients here! If you grow your own veg then this book is perfect for ideas on how to use gluts of courgettes or beetroot to make some really tasty dishes. Highly recommended.

"Great cookbook" -

Really great recipes that don't take forever to make, loved the North African stew, so tasty! The best veggie cookbook I have come across in ages.

"I love meat, but I love this book!" -

This book is excellent! I wanted to try meat-free Mondays but felt like I needed some help with recipes as we normally have meat or fish with every meal. I've made a few dishes so far and they were all really tasty. Just looking through the book makes me want to eat veg! Some of the recipes are easily changed to make them lower fat but without losing the taste. I've found it's also good when you buy veg that is in season, and so cheaper and tastier, but are not sure what to do with it to make it exciting. I would highly recommend this book.

"Superb" -

I've been a vegetarian for almost 30 years, and it's easy to fall back on old favourites. This book has loads of straightforward yet delicious-looking recipes and is well written and presented. I'm ordering a second one for a gift!NB As Hugh F-W says, you don't need to be a vegetarian to enjoy these dishes.
