Useful Book -

After reading other reviews I decided to purchase this book and I'm glad I did! Well illustrated with some excellent ideas as well as useful tips. As one reviewer said 'you're only limited by your imagination'. Lots of ideas that can be adapted to make the designs 'your own'. I loved the box pleat cushion and can't wait to get started. All I need now is some time!

"Looks fine to me" -

Received today and looks OK to me. Neat way to put a zip in although I might be tempted to do this by hand, even neater that way. Lots of suggestions and looks like really clear instructions to follow. Had a look at the jumper cushion after reading one comment - it's all down to personal taste and the jumper/cardigan of course, but these are meant to be ideas. Rather fancy the ribbon design or maybe the patchwork first, mmmm!

"Brilliant" -

This book has inspired me to get my sewing machine out and have a go. It is easy to understand and Debbie explains everything simply so you can achieve everything to the standard shown in the book. To sum up in one word...BRILLIANT.

"A good ideas book" -

This book is an excellent resource for techniques, hints and tips which can be applied to any fabric you choose. You are only limited by your imagination.

"A great little book" -

This book is well written, get pictures, there are approx 26 cushion styles to choose for once you have made one, you start to develop your own ideas. Not only that, there are techniques that I have practised and they turn out like the picture, experiment with colour texture - this book has given me inspiration to give things a go and not be afraid of fabric. I would buy this book just for the section on how to put in a quick zip, I have not yet failed to put in a zip in correctly - a perfect finish each time. The cardigan cushion I made using one of mine which I was going to recycle, my dog loves it, it's her night time cushion. There is a Union Jack cushion which will be my next project, perhaps using bright colours for a change. Advice would be dip your toe and have a go, you might surprise yourself.
